Avasam is a London-based automated dropshipping platform that provides you with all the tools you need to sell dropshipping products within the UK and USA.

Using their automation software, retailers can start selling online without holding any inventory!

Avasam's popularity was originally attributed to its 100+ pre-vetted UK suppliers that were able to provide you with fast shipping times within the UK.

What's great is that Avasam recently opened shipping to the US too.

This means that dropshippers using Avasam can now ship both to the UK and the US, all from one platform.

This is actually big news, as it opens new opportunities for dropshippers.

They also updated their shipping info to include shipping to the US for many products:

While Avasam's UK product selection is still much larger, with 200,000 products to dropship, its US product selection is slowly catching up with 20,000 available products.

You can find over 200,000 products across 18 different categories from the available suppliers.

Avasam has quite a strict pre-approval process for new suppliers (which ensures good quality), but they still constantly add new suppliers and products to their platform.

The platform was founded in 2018 by Tejas Dave with the goal of solving common problems dropshippers face with manual processes and bad system integrations.

How does Avasam work?

As we mentioned, Avasam is a fully automated dropshipping platform, meaning it provides you with all the tools you need to find products, process customer orders, payments, and shipping.

To make this happen effortlessly, Avasam integrates with all the major ecommerce platforms, including platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and Wix.

So basically, Avasam makes the basic dropshipping model more effortless by automating parts of product research and fulfillment.

Plus, most of Avasam's suppliers offer one to five-day shipping times within the UK and the US, which is much faster than you would get from AliExpress.

The fast shipping times are one of the main reasons dropshippers prefer Avasam.

The pros and cons of Avasam

Next, let's jump into the main section of our article, which is the pros and cons of Avasam.

The pros

Let's start with the benefits of using Avasam.

1. Intuitive admin dashboard

We started our review by looking into how easy it is to actually use Avasam.

Once you register for the platform, this is how the admin dashboard view looks like:

The 'Home' page shows Avasam's categories and other notable information, such as 'This week's top ten products.'

We like that the 'Home' page is kept simple, and from the left sidebar, you can actually access all Avasam's features, such as the available products and suppliers.

From the down-right corner, you can contact customer support with live chat.

Avasam also has a six-step 'Getting Started' process for new customers:

Overall, we feel like the admin dashboard is easy to navigate, and even beginners with no previous experience will have no troubles.

A new feature on the admin dashboard: As of recently, Avasam launched its new AI tool that helps dropshippers improve product titles and descriptions. This tool can also be accessed from Avasam's admin dashboard.

2. Free plan for browsing the platform

You can browse Avasam and its platform for free. You can register for the free plan from Avasam's website.

What was nice is that you don't have to add your credit card information when you opt for the free plan.

With the free plan, you can:

• Browse the available products from all the different categories.
• Browse the available suppliers.
• See how the automation features, such as product fulfillment work.
• Contact Avasam's support team with the live chat.

And more. You can do anything with the free plan but can't actually start selling the available products.

The free plan is made only for browsing, and for that purpose, it's excellent!

3. Pre-vetted UK and US-based suppliers

We're now getting to why people love Avasam so much. One of the big reasons is their pre-vetted and verified UK and US-based suppliers.

What's great is that Avasam doesn't just let any supplier in. Suppliers have to go through a 10-step onboarding and verification process before they get accepted.

These are some of the things Avasam requires from its suppliers:

• They have to have strong customer support
• The product data has to be accurate and complete
• The product margins have to be attractive for sellers

For you as a dropshipper, this is a great thing. You can be sure the suppliers aren't trying to scam your customers.

To have minimal refunds and returns, Avasam suppliers offer quite fast shipping times. The available shipping times are divided into three categories:

• Expedited tracked (1-2 days)
• Standard tracked (2-4 days)
• Standard (3-5 days)

Depending on the supplier, one of these shipping methods is available.

To actually browse the suppliers, you can head into Avasam's admin dashboard and click 'Our suppliers' from the left sidebar.

If you scroll through the suppliers, you can see some interesting information, like if they offer free delivery and what product category they have.

When you click on a supplier, Avasam automatically shows you all the products the supplier offers.

Cool, right?

4. 200,000+ products available to sell

As we mentioned previously, Avasam has over 200,000+ products that you can dropship to the UK, as well as over 20,000+ products that you can dropship to the US.

While some competitors may have more available products, Avasam surely has the most extensive UK-based product selection.

And they constantly update their US product selection too.

Avasam has its own dedicated page for the available products.

It's called 'Search products' in the Avasam admin dashboard.

From this page, you can scroll through the available products. The products are divided into different categories, and some of the biggest categories are:

• Garden
• Home
• DIY & Tools
• Watches & Jewelry
• Sport, Leisure & Hobbies
• Computer & Electronics
• Health & Beauty
• Fashion & Lifestyle
• Pet Supplies
• Baby & Children

When you click on a category, you can see all of the products available for it.

One of the standout features Avasam has for the products is the available filters.

Let's say you first select one of the product categories, such as 'Garden.' After that, you can select one of the available filters, such as 'WOW Deals,' 'Special Offers,' or 'New.'

In our case, we had the 'Garden' category selected, and for the filter, we selected 'Special Offers,' and Avasam showed us related products.

This is definitely a great way to find unique products.

And if you want to take this step further, you can filter by the country you are planning to ship to.

For each product, you can see some important information even without accessing the product page.

5. Available details for each product

Every product has a dedicated product page where you can see and use additional information about the product.

To access the product page, simply click on any of the available products. For our example, we will use this 'Crystal Diamante Clutch Bag.'

As we mentioned, each product page includes product data that you can take advantage of when actually selling the product on your online store.

For every product page, you can see:

• The header of the product. When you sell the product, you can take inspiration from the available header for your own product pages.

• Supplier and product information. For each product, you can see more technical information like how many products there are available, the SKU code, and the brand name.

• Product importing and sample buttons. If you want to import a specific product to your online store, every product page has a button for it. You can also buy sample pieces if you want to see what the products actually look like.

• Images. Avasam provides you with ready-to-use images for your own product pages and ads. For our example, there was only one image, but for most products, two to four images are available.

• Available variants. Most of Avasam's products have different variants, which you can also see on the product page.

• Shipping information. It's important to know how long the shipping time is for the products you sell and what countries the supplier ships to. You can see this on the product page.

• Product descriptions. For every product, you get a product description you can use and take inspiration from.

• Related products. At the bottom of every product page, you can see related products.

These are the main things for every product page. While you can use these yourself with Avasam's permission, we don't recommend copying anything directly. Instead, use them as an inspiration and make your own changes.

6. Order processing page

Avasam advertises itself as an all-in-one product fulfillment solution for dropshippers.

That means you can also manage upcoming orders directly from Avasam.

Inside of Avasam admin dashboard, there is a dedicated page for this called 'Orders.' With the help of the available integrations, all the orders you get from your online store will appear here.

Once the orders start coming in, you can track the status of them from the same page.

7. Good returns and refund policy

We've done many reviews of different product fulfillment platforms, and one thing we appreciate about Avasam is its clear refund and return policies.

When you sell with Avasam, your customers can:

• Return unused items for any reason within 30 days of delivery
• Return faulty items up to 60 days from delivery
• Get a full refund on the product once the return is approved

This is great for the customer but also for you as the seller.

Dropshippers often experience high refunds and returns when using platforms like AliExpress, mainly because of the long shipping times. With Avasam these problems are unlikely to arise, and if they do, their return and refund policy is awesome.

Managing the refunds and returns is relatively easy from Avasam's admin dashboard.

Just clicking 'Cancel order' next to the customer's order and going through the process enables you to do it.

8. Unique integrations

Out of the competition, Avasam has one of the best available integrations.

What's even better is that they constantly update new integrations to the platform, making it more robust.

Regarding ecommerce platforms, Avasam integrates with:

• Shopify
• BigCommerce
• WooCommerce
• Click 2 Launch
• Wix

The ecommerce integrations make adding products from Avasam to your dropshipping store easy.

Once orders start coming in, the shipping information will automatically update to Avasam, and once you add balance to your Avasam account, your products will be sent out.

The ecommerce platform integrations fall a bit short regarding how many available there are, but all the major ones, including Shopify, are still available.

Regarding marketplaces, Avasam integrates with:

• OnBuy
• eBay
• EKM
• Amazon
• Wish

With Avasam's marketplace integrations, you can sell your products directly on platforms like Amazon and eBay.

And for social media platforms, Avasam integrates with:

This is actually the most recent integration Avasam made to their platform, and in our opinion, one of the most impressive ones.

If you create your dropshipping store with TikTok Shop, you can integrate your TikTok account with Avasam and source products from Avasam's suppliers.

It also helps you automate product fulfillment, payments, and shipping.

The TikTok integration is definitely something not many platforms offer.

9. Helpful customer service

Avasam is known for having good customer service, and it's something we can agree to.

You have three different options for contacting the Avasam team:

• Contacting with live chat. For most people, this is the best way to connect with Avasam's customer support. If you go to Avasam's website, you can access the live chat from the down-right corner.

To contact Avasam via live chat, you must create an account with them (the free plan works).

• Contacting with email. Avasam also has a public email address that you can contact (support@avasam.com). It's a viable option if you're okay with waiting for a moment. On business days, Avasam promises to respond to emails within 24 hours.
• Contacting with phone. Public phone support is also available for Avasam's customers (+44 (0) 330 113 7788).

As part of our testing, we wanted to see how their customer service performed, so we sent them a message asking a simple question: If they ship their products worldwide or not.

We got a response to our question within five minutes, and they helped us with any additional questions we had.

A small downside to Avasam's customer support is that it's not available 24/7, which is something a competitor CJDropshipping offers.

This is what Avasam states about their customer service availability: Customer support is available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (excluding Bank Holidays), and Saturdays 10 am-4 pm.

The lack of 24/7 customer support is still not a huge downside, as customer service is available six days a week.

Also, don't forget to check out the Avasam Knowledge Base; they answer many frequently asked questions there as well.

10. Active social media presence

We loved this part of Avasam. Looking at their YouTube channel, they're publishing new videos weekly on different trending products.

While this is not directly related to the features of Avasam, it's an excellent sign that the founders actually care about the platform and its products.

Even if you wouldn't select Avasam as a dropshipping supplier solution, we recommend checking out their YouTube channel, as you can find good insights into product research from there.

The cons

Every tool has something to improve on, and Avasam is no different from that.

During our review, we found a few shortcomings to it, so let's go through those.

1. Shipping is limited to the UK and the US

If you aim to sell your products in countries other than the UK or the US, Avasam may not be the right choice for you since they are the only available options.

If you ship to countries outside the UK and the US, we recommend using one of Avasam's alternatives. We will go through the three alternatives for Avasam soon in one of the following sections.

2. You can't use PayPal to pay for suppliers

You can use PayPal to accept payments on your chosen sales channel, but Avasam does not accept PayPal to pay suppliers, so you will need to register a payment card.

This is not a major downside but something you should be aware of, as PayPal is one of the main payment platforms that dropshippers use.

Avasam pricing

So, what does the pricing for Avasam look like?

There are four available plans: Free, Starter, Advanced, Business, and Guru.

As mentioned earlier, the free plan is only made for browsing the platform and its features.

If you want to actually start selling products, you have to opt for the Starter plan or one above it.

So, the true price of Avasam, if you want to use it to start selling products, is £19.99 to £149.99 a month (+ VAT). If you pay yearly, you can make some significant savings.

The main difference between the paid plans is the amount of orders you can manage every month. The bigger your store gets, the more expensive the plan you have to select.

When comparing Avasam's pricing to its competitors, the cheapest paid plan is more affordable than most competitors have.

How to get started with Avasam dropshipping

So, how do you actually go and get started with Avasam? How can you integrate it with your preferred platform?

We'll show you that next!

1. Create your free Avasam account

The first step of getting started with Avasam is to create your free Avasam account.

To do that, head to Avasam's website and click on one of the 'Free Trial' buttons.

This will lead you to the registration process, where you have to fill in basic information, such as your name, email, and password.

As we mentioned previously, you don't have to fill in your credit card details for the free plan.

Clicking on 'Register' will get you directly to the admin dashboard of Avasam.

Once you're done with the registration, this is what the admin dashboard view looks like:

After this, you're ready for the next step!

2. Add your payment details to Avasam

In order to pay for the products you sell with Avasam, you have to have your payment details added.

To add them, head into 'Settings' from the left sidebar.

From the settings, click on 'Payment settings' and click 'Add' to add your card details to Avasam.

This is quick to do, and you will see your card added if everything goes right.

After this, you can move on to the integration part!

3. Integrate Avasam with your preferred platform

The third step of getting started with Avasam is to integrate it with your preferred platform.

It's actually quite easy.

From Avasam's admin dashboard, head into the 'Settings' from the left side tab.

Continue to the 'Sales channel integrations' page.

This is where you can see all of Avasam's integrations and integrate it with your preferred sales channel platform.

For most people, the right integration will be Shopify, as it's one of the most used ecommerce platforms out there and loved by our blog readers.

If Shopify is not for you, all the other integrations can be found here too, whether it's with TikTok, Wix, or BigCommerce.

Click the 'Add' button next to your preferred platform to start the integration. For our example, it will be Shopify.

If you still have a free plan, this is where your luck ends, as you need to have a paid subscription with Avasam to do the integration.

Avasam asks for your Shopify account name and website URL; after that, you can install Avasam to your Shopify account.

You will see this screen inside Shopify. Just clicking on 'Install app' will get Shopify added to Avasam.

A successful integration should look like this on the Avasam settings:

Once you've integrated your sales platform into Avasam, you can actually get into browsing the products and suppliers!

4. Start sourcing products from Avasam suppliers

You've added the payment settings and the integration, and now you're able to add the products and start selling!

This is an exciting part.

You can start your product search by clicking on 'Search products' or 'Our suppliers' from the left side tab of Avasam.

If you already have an idea of your niche, we recommend going with the 'Search products' option, as it allows you to get a more detailed view of the available products.

This is what the product catalog of Avasam looks like:

A good start is to select one of the available categories.

This will give you a list of products under the category.

If you have no idea of what you want to sell, you can start your product research by browsing the suppliers.

You can freely scroll through the available suppliers even with the free plan. If you find an interesting supplier and click on it, you can see all the available products.

5. Add products to your online store

Once you find a product that you want to add to your online store, you can do that by clicking on the product and going to the product page.

You will see a 'Source product' button on the product page.

Once you source the product, it will appear on the 'My products' page.

After you can see the products on the 'My products' page, you will need to go to the 'Listing Manager' page, where you can actually go ahead and add the products to your online store.

The sourcing process may seem like a time-consuming process. If it is, you can activate the bulk sourcing configuration from Avasam's settings.

This way, you can source tens, if not hundreds of products at the same time.

After you've listed the products, you're ready to start selling the products!
