Adding products from AliExpress to Shopify might be easy for some people, but others struggle with it.

That's why I decided to create this article that teaches you how to import your AliExpress products to your Shopify store!

To import products from AliExpress to Shopify, install an integration app like DSers, find products on AliExpress, use the app's Chrome extension to add products to your store, edit the product listings in Shopify, and process orders through the app when they come in.

6 Steps to import AliExpress products to Shopify

Let's get started!

1. Pick an AliExpress integration app

Adding AliExpress products to Shopify with an integration app is definitely the way to go.

You can also do it manually, but I won't discuss that since integration apps are available for free and they will save you a lot of time.

My favorite AliExpress integration app is DSers:

However, I will use DSers for this article because their free plan is for unlimited orders, and most people use this app when they start with Shopify dropshipping.

2. Find the product you want to import

Another thing you should know before you start is which products you'll be importing to your Shopify store.

3. Install the DSers Chrome extension

Once you know which product you want to sell, it's time to start adding it to your Shopify store.

And the first step for that is installing the DSers Chrome extension:

This extension will make it a lot easier to import products from AliExpress to your dropshipping store.

Once you have the extension installed, you can continue by creating a DSers account here.

Follow the steps to link DSers to your Shopify store and AliExpress account:

4. Add the AliExpress products to your Shopify store

Once installed, head over to the AliExpress product you want to add to your Shopify store.

For example, let's say I want to add a silent basketball. Go to the product page and click on "Add to DSers":

Now, the AliExpress product can be imported directly to your Shopify store!

5. Edit your new Shopify product listing

One reason most people fail with dropshipping is that they don't put any effort into their dropshipping store design and product pages.

Please take some time and create an awesome product page for your product!

If you put more effort into your dropshipping store, you will have so much more chance of beating your competition later on.

6. Decide on a pricing strategy for your product

Now, it's time to decide the price of the product you want to sell on your dropshipping store.

How do you process your Shopify orders on AliExpress?

I will quickly show you the process below on what happens when you get an order on your AliExpress dropshipping store and how to process it then with DSers.

1. You get an order on your Shopify dropshipping store.
2. You're super excited!
3. After that, you go to the DSers app to place the order.
4. Go to Open Order – Awaiting order. The order you need to place to AliExpress will be in the Awaiting order tab.
5. After that, press the 'Order' button.
6. It will open a page where you can double-check the order shipping setting. At this step, you can change the shipping method as you wish.
7. If you're sure about the shipping method, press 'Confirm'.
8. Let's go to the awaiting payment tab now to find the order that you just placed and see that the Ali Order Number has been generated.
9. You can click the 'Make payment' button, and it will take you to AliExpress where you can pay for the order. (And yes, you can pay for multiple orders at once)

I've got one extra tip for you.

You can let DSers fill in the note for the supplier automatically when checking out!

This way you will let the AliExpress seller know that you're dropshipping and that you don't want to have any advertisements or recipes in the package (this is called blind dropshipping).

How to cancel your dropshipping order on AliExpress?

Now that you know how to place an AliExpress dropshipping order, it's time to learn how to cancel an AliExpress order.

This can happen for a lot of reasons, like people who no longer want the order or who ordered the wrong size or products.

To cancel an order on AliExpress, go to the order page and press cancel on the order you want to cancel.

Keep in mind that you can only do this before the order status is changed to shipped.

If the order is shipped, you need to contact the supplier to see if there are any possibilities left (maybe you're lucky and they haven't shipped it yet).

After the order is canceled on AliExpress, DSers will automatically update the order again.

What are AliExpress disputes and when can you use them?

This is important to know because there is a chance that you will have problems with one or more AliExpress suppliers.

If you can't figure it out anymore with them, you can open a dispute on AliExpress.

Most products have a 60-day (or less) buyer protection.

You can see the supplier's guarantees on the product page:

For example, I opened a lot of disputes after my supplier kept telling me that the products were on their normal way, even though it had taken more than two months already.

The results?

AliExpress was on my side in all my disputes, and I had my money back in no time:

If you want to open a dispute on AliExpress as well, press the 'Open Dispute' button on your AliExpress order (All orders on your AliExpress account).
