Are you looking for a review on Sellvia's custom store service? You've come to the right place!

You may ask yourself if Sellvia is the right solution for you to create a custom store.

To help you decide, we will discuss the pros and cons of using Sellvia's custom stores, including the platform's features, how to get started with it, and some frequently asked questions.

Before we can dive into that, it's essential to understand what Sellvia as a whole platform is.

So, let's get started!

Important note about Sellvia

Before explaining more about Sellvia's custom store, we wanted to share a quick heads-up based on our experience with Sellvia.

Like many of you, we were curious about their service and decided to give it a try by signing up for their free trial.

However, what happened next was surprising.

Even though it was supposed to be free, we were hit with an unexpected charge of $249.

Sellvia unexpected charge

After digging deeper, we found that other people have had similar experiences with Sellvia, reporting unexpected fees, confusing billing practices, and unhelpful customer support.

It was definitely a red flag for us. On top of that, we noticed a lot of upselling during the signup process—extra services, add-ons, you name it.

Plus, Trustpilot detected fake reviews for the company and added a note that says "We’ve removed a number of fake reviews for this company."

We just wanted to share this so you’ll know what to expect if you decide to give them a try.

If you’re curious about the full story, we’ve covered it all in our main Sellvia review article. Feel free to check it out before you make any decisions!

What is Sellvia?

Sellvia is a complete ecommerce ecosystem that offers everything ecommerce owners need to start an online store, including the custom store itself, marketing features, and customer service.

Home page of Sellvia ecommerce platform

Sellvia operates and ships within the US market, but its target audience is small businesses and entrepreneurs worldwide.

They claim to have a manufacturing and fulfillment center in the United States, packed up with their best-selling products.

About us section of Sellvia

So, where does the Sellvia custom store come in all of this?

Once you sign up for Sellvia, their team will help you to build your store from the ground up and fill it with top-selling products. That's what they call Sellvia's custom store.

The pros and cons of buying a custom store from Sellvia

As with any product, Sellvia has its advantages and disadvantages.

To help you understand them better, I'll outline all of Sellvia's pros and cons, including the platform's features, so you have a better idea of what to expect.

Pros

Let's start with the Pros!

1. Done-for-you dropshipping store

The first and most obvious advantage is that you don't have to worry about building or designing your store.

Sellvia's team will do it all for you and even fill it with products!

All you need to do is provide them with your store's name, logo, and color scheme. This is all done with no additional cost for you and is included in their service.

The only downside of this is that you don't have complete control over your store's design, but we'll discuss more in the cons section.

2. Complete ecommerce platform

Complete business ecosystem of Sellvia

Sellvia allows you to launch, manage, and operate your ecommerce business all in one place. Their service is not limited to just providing you with a custom store.

It literally includes everything you need to get started selling!

It's also good to point out that using Sellvia as an ecommerce platform is not the only way to take advantage of their services.

3. Great selection of products in the catalog

Product catalogs of Sellvia

Sellvia's catalog is packed with a wide range of products, all of which are top-sellers in their respective niches.

Sellvia offers products in the following categories:

  • Fashion
  • Gadgets
  • Beauty
  • Home & Garden
  • Kids
  • Pets
  • Outdoors
  • Sports
  • Festive
  • Auto
  • Clothing

The categories include 21,000+ products in total.

Once you sign up to Sellvia, your own products will be chosen depending on the niche you select.

If you want to import new products into your store later, you can do that too. You have to submit a product request form, and the product will be added to your store.

You can also request specific products you want to include in your store.

4. Ready-to-use product pages

Product pages of Sellvia

Another great thing about Sellvia is that their product pages are ready to use right after signing up!

This will save you a lot of time because you don't have to worry about writing descriptions or taking pictures.

What's great about the product pages? Let's go through some pros:

  • Optimized for SEO: All the titles are optimized for SEO, designed to boost your visibility on Google.
  • Ready-to-use images: Each product page is filled with high-quality images that are ready to use.

5. Fast US shipping times

US based shipping of Sellvia

Sellvia claims to be able to deliver products to most parts of the US in about one to three business days.

However, considering our experience with it, we are not sure about this.

After signing up for their free trial to find out if Sellvia's claims are true, we were charged $249 unexpectedly!

6. No label packaging

Sellvia's packing boxes do not contain labels that identify Sellvia's brand, which is an excellent benefit for every dropshipper.

It means that your customers will think the product came directly from your store.

7. Automatic order placement

Unlike many other suppliers, Sellvia automatically places orders for you when they come in.

As soon as a customer places an order in your store, Sellvia will process it and send the product from their warehouse.

Once the product is shipped, you and your customer will receive a tracking number so that you can track the delivery's progress.

8. Includes all major payment methods

Sellvia offers all major payment methods, including Stripe, 2Checkout, Square, PayPal, Cash on delivery, and more.

This is great for customers who prefer to pay with a specific method, and it also makes the checkout process smoother and faster.

In terms of transaction fees, Sellvia doesn't charge you any, but the payment providers charge when you use them. The transaction fees vary from 0-5% depending on the provider.

9. Great refund policy

One of the biggest problems dropshippers normally face is refunds and returns. With long shipping times and unreliable suppliers, returns are bound to happen.

Sellvia claims to have a great refund policy that helps to mitigate these issues.

In the event that a product is broken or a customer wants to return it, Sellvia offers an easy return policy.

However, due to Sellvia's fast shipping time, most customers will receive their products before they have a chance to change their minds about the purchase.

10. Pre-made promotional campaigns

With Sellvia's pre-designed marketing materials, it's easy to promote your products and store.

They offer a wide range of materials, including pre-designed Facebook ad copies, product images, descriptions, and more.

11. Sellvia Plugin

If you use an ecommerce platform like WooCommerce, then Sellvia has a plugin that allows you to use their services without moving your store.

The Sellvia plugin for WooCommerce gives you access to all the features and tools you need to run your Sellvia store.

12. Sellvia's Shopify App

Shopify App store Sellvia

The Sellvia Shopify app is a Shopify version of the Sellvia plugin, which allows you to automatically import and fulfill orders from US-based suppliers.

This is good for those who prefer Shopify over WooCommerce and still want to take advantage of the fast and reliable shipping of Sellvia.

This is what Sellvia Shopify App promises:

  • A shipping time of one to three business days within the US.
  • Pick from all the best-sellers.
  • Lower prices than AliExpress.
  • Impressive product pages.

Update September 2024: For an unknown reason, Sellvia's Shopify app has currently been delisted from the Shopify App Store.

Cons

Let's continue by looking at the cons of Sellvia.

Note: These cons do not discuss our negative experience with Sellvia, which you can read more about here.

1. Shipping is restricted to the US

A big downside of Sellvia is that it only delivers products to customers in the United States and does not sell to or ship to customers in other countries.

If you plan to operate a global online store, Sellvia might not be the best option for you.

However, if your customer base is exclusively in the United States, it is a great choice.

2. Limited customization

As the Sellvia custom store is automatically made for you, there is limited customization freedom.

You can change some things, like the colors and fonts, but you can't make major changes to the design. If you want full customization freedom, you should create your Sellvia store with Shopify or select some alternative to Sellvia.

3. Might be faking reviews

There is a "We’ve removed a number of fake reviews for this company" notification on Sellvia's Trustpilot page:

Sellvia Trustpilot fake reviews notification

This is a red flag because you don't know how many of their positive reviews are from real users.

Sellvia pricing plans

Pricing plans of Sellvia

Sellvia comes with a 14-day free trial, and you can cancel your subscription at any time.

They offer two different plans, Sellvia, which costs $39 per month, and Sellvia PRO, which is $69 per month.

Sellvia plan is much more limited but includes most features that can help you get started with the platform.

Sellvia PRO includes all the features you need to build a custom store with Sellvia.

On top of these plans, Sellvia has multiple premium products, such as the promo tools bundle, brand awareness & promotion, and social media packages. These products come with additional costs, ranging from $200 to even up to $4,000.

FAQs about Sellvia

Check out some FAQs about Sellvia below:

Is Sellvia legit?

It is doubtful whether Sellvia is a legitimate company. We were charged $249 on our credit card for what was supposed to be a free trial, and there are many other stories on review websites like Trustpilot where people claim to have been scammed by the company.

Can I integrate Sellvia with Shopify?

No, you currently can't integrate Sellvia directly with Shopify. The Sellvia Shopify app has been delisted from the Shopify App Store for an unknown reason.

Who is Sellvia best for?

For anyone wanting to sell products within the United States. You don't have to live in the United States, but at the moment, Sellvia only ships there.

What do other users say about Sellvia?

With the help of review apps, we’ve collected what other entrepreneurs say about Sellvia.

As previously mentioned, Trustpilot suspects them of buying fake reviews. So you can never be sure if the positive reviews like this one is real:

Betty from the support team is truly helpful! When I asked her to assist me in managing my website's categories, subcategories, and menus she helped very promptly and was soo polite and patient! I got not only help but also a good mood. Perhaps this is the best assistance I've been ever provided with!

We also saw some negative reviews, like:

All these fake reviews showing 5/5 are AI generated. Sellvia is NOT what they claim to be. They are liars.

I used to try Sellvia Pro 1 year; it is a waste of money and time. Marketing personnel likes lies and she wants you to believe that unreal goals, unrealistic hopes, lie, and lies… I wrote about negative situations to them many times, they didn't care. They only said ''Everything will be ok'' and Never didn't.

3 Sellvia alternatives

Here are some better alternatives for Sellvia:

1. Spocket

Home page of Spocket

Spocket is a platform that gives you access to thousands of dropshipping suppliers from all over the world. With Spocket, you can choose the best products to sell from various suppliers.

80% of Spocket's suppliers are based in the US and Europe, so shipping is fast and efficient worldwide.

In addition, Spocket integrates with popular platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Wix, and much more.

Spocket's advantage over Sellvia is that you can ship worldwide, but its disadvantage is that you must create the website yourself.

For more information about Spocket, check out our in-depth review here!

2. Modalyst

Home page of Modalyst

Like Sellvia, Modalyst is a dropshipping platform that gives ecommerce businesses access to millions of products.

The platform aims to be an all-in-one sourcing platform, with features ranging from order management to inventory management to shipping.

The difference with Sellvia is that Modalyst doesn't offer the custom store feature. You have to create your online store and integrate it into Modalyst.

Modalyst allows you to ship worldwide, which Sellvia cannot do.

For more information about Modalyst, check out our in-depth review here!

3. AliDropship

Home page of AliDropship

Last but not least on the list is AliDropship, which is owned by the same people who created Sellvia!

AliDropship lets you sell products from AliExpress without having to fulfill your orders manually.

AliDropship allows you to create your own store, add your branding, choose from a range of premium templates, or buy a custom store from them.

The difference between Sellvia is the ability to sell worldwide and the availability of more products. However, as AliDropship's suppliers are AliExpress suppliers, they can have prolonged shipping times.

  1. Hello, I thought I was signing up for an AliDropShip store, but I somehow wound up at Sellvia. I wanted to have a niche store and sell particular products that I had already picked out on AliExpress. I am so confused the store I was given. I never would have chosen more than 2 of the 68 on the list. I deleted all but 23, but I am still disappointed. I even had my store name picked out, but they gave me another one. I have 5 days left on my free trial and I do not know what to do. My dashboard says I have 3 sales. I have not processed them because a pop up keeps recommending that I deposit $100. I do not have it. I only had $50 and I already paid $39. I feel overwhelmed and disappointed. Should I cancel now or ??? Thank you.
